The 5th Annual Joseph S. Murphy Scholarship for Diversity in Labor raises funds to provide scholarships -- up to $20,000 for undergraduate students and up to $30,000 for graduate students over two years of study -- and aims to foster diversity within the labor movement. Launched with a founding challenge grant from former CUNY Chancellor Matthew Goldstein, all gifts raised in support of the scholarship program will be matched dollar-for-dollar annually up to $100,000 through 2017.
